Book Dress-UP Day
Friday, April 7th
Hi Room 4 Families! Students chose a prize
for filling up their CARE behavior jar with pom-poms. Students voted and there
was a tie between "a treat" and "a book character dress-up day". So, we are going to do a
character dress-up day on April 7th and if you child would like to bring a treat to share with the class,
you are welcome to do so on this day. Please keep it nut and mango free. If
your child chooses to participate, please
send your child dressed as his/her favorite (or any) character from a book.
If your child would like to bring their book in too, they are encouraged to do
so. Some examples might be: One of the 3
pigs, Fancy Nancy, Harry Potter, Goldilocks, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (Jack
and the Bean Stalk), Max (Where the Wild Things Are), Charlie Brown, any of the
Dr. Seuss Characters, Madeline, Where’s Waldo, Willy Wonka, Angelina Ballerina …
If you need help putting a costume together,
please let me know and I will try and help. Please do not feel that you need to
buy a costume for this. I encourage your student to help with making the
costume or using what you have around the house. Some costumes are easier to
piece together than others! If you have any questions, please feel free to
email me: prattl@arps.org or give me a
call. I encourage your child to participate, as it can help get students
excited about books and reading!
Very good written article. It will be supportive to anyone who utilizes it, including me. Keep doing what you are doing – can’r wait to read more posts.
